The Final General Meeting of the SPP 1833 was held in Cologne on March 6-8, 2023. During this meeting, all project leaders from the first and second funding period reported about the results of their individual projects. Reviewers and the DFG attended the report colloquium to gain insight into the findings of our Priority Programme.

Sixth General Meeting of the SPP 1833
The Sixth General Meeting of the SPP 1833 was held in Tübingen April 6-8, 2022. More than 50 Researchers met to present the results of their recent projects and more than 20 guests watched and discussed the talks via Zoom.

Fifth General Meeting of the SPP 1833 - online version
The Fifth General Meeting of the SPP 1833 “Building a Habitable Earth” in 2020 had to be postponed due to the restrictions caused by the corona virus. As a regular meeting was still not be possible in spring 2021, the SPP 1833 had an online meeting via Zoom on March 23rd to 24th. Around 75 researchers participated in a dense programm of talks, keynote lectures given by Martin van Kranendonk (UNSW Sydney) and Axel Hofmann (University of Johannesburg) and panel discussions.

Fourth General SPP Meeting 2019
The Fourth General Meeting of the SPP 1833 was held in Cologne on March 27-29, 2019. 75 Researchers met at the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy to present the results of their recent projects. Please download the programme and the abstract volume.
Third General SPP Meeting 2018
The Third General Meeting of the SPP 1833 was held in Göttingen on March 21-23, 2018. 75 Researchers gathered in the "Alte Mensa" in the city centre to present the results of their recent projects and the submitted proposals for the second funding period. Second General SPP Meeting 2017
Researchers dealing with early earth evolution gathered in Jena from March 29th to March 31st. More than 75 people presented their latest results and publications and plans for the future of the SPP 1833 were made. The programme and the abstract volume are available. The Meeting was complemented by a visit of the exhibition "Die Erde im Archaikum - Leben erobert einen Planeten".
